MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a successful company that really puts their employees at the heart of their business. In this critical role, they are looking for an individual with a can do attitude who has a drive to succeed.

The Job You’ll Do:

  • Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.
  • Carry out electrical installation work as required.
  • Using appropriate data and systems to manage the sites electrical & control systems.
  • Liaise with and assist in the managing of third-party contractors.
  • Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Working safely throughout all activities in line with safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task.
  • Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained.

About You:

  • Time served apprenticeship in maintenance engineering (Electrical/Mechanical)
  • A HNC or above in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • PLC fault finding experience (desirable)
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate
  • Good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised
