The Company Our client is a specialist Engineering company due to growth they now require a Welding Coordinator. The Role You will have the day-to-day responsibility of managing all welding activities including weld mapping. Day-to-day, youll perform the role of subject matter expert for all welding related issues within the business area. Control all training requirements for those involved with welding. Provide routine overview activity to confirm weld activity is being carried out to standard. Control the recording of competency in relation to welding activity. Oversee the management of equipment. Responsible for quality control and assurance. The Person Will ideally be time served in a welding/fabrication role. Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Demonstrable experience in quality control, evaluation, and improvement in a production environment. Knowledge of welding processes and standards. Understanding of metallurgy and process technology in the field of welding. PCN Level 2 for MPI or DPI would be appropriate. CSWIP 3.1 essential.
