The Company
Our client is a specialist well established engineering company. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking for an experienced Manual Turner.
The Role
- Will be working day shift 37.5 hours per week. This is a permanent role.
- Setting and Operating Manual lathes in order to produce components.
- Inspecting own work to ensure quality is met (Vernier, calliper, depth gauge, micrometre).
- Maintaining ISO9001 Quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Experienced with vertical and horizontal borers.
- Working with Vertical Milling machines.
- Working with Lathes.
- Produce work to the highest standard to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.
The Person
- Ideally the successful candidate will be a time served Machinist.
- Working to tight tolerances within a precision environment.
- Working on a range of products.
- Carry out inspection on parts.
- Have experience in manual machining.
- Flexible approach to tasks.
- The candidate must also be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
