The job youll do: Carry out all work safely, adhering to site rules, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Maintain, service, and repair mould tooling and associated components to ensure optimal performance.
Perform precision machining operations to support production, engineering, and maintenance requirements.
Monitor the tool change schedule through planning reports and tool change meetings to ensure timely completion of work.
Collaborate with the Planning team to develop and maintain an effective maintenance schedule.
Complete maintenance activities in accordance with the planned maintenance programme.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of tooling spares and consumables to support operational requirements.
Ensure the tool room and surrounding work areas are maintained to a consistently high standard of housekeeping.
Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate tooling requirements, repairs, and procurement activities.
Attend and contribute to meetings representing the Tool Room as required.
Conduct risk assessments and support audit activities across the factory to promote a safe working environment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Tool Room to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.
About you: Time served apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Die Maintenance or similar Experience working within plastics or injection moulding manufacturing Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills at all levels.
