MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Sunderland, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team. You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic company, with an excellent team-based culture and huge opportunities to progress your career. Our client is a well-established player in their specialist sector in the North East and supplies its quality products and services nationally. The Job You’ll Do:

  • To work on planned and breakdown maintenance on a range of machinery associated with production.
  • Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown work on production equipment.
  • To diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults.
  • To minimise any down time to production.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • PLC diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Working day shift.

About You:

  • Time served, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Electrically biased, with a good mechanical understanding.
  • 18th edition wiring regulations (desirable).
  • Logical problem solver with excellent fault-finding abilities.
  • Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is essential.
  • PLC experience essential.
  • Must be happy working just day shift.
