- The Job You’ll Do;
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, both locally and nationally within the industry.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, enhance profitability, and improve the overall market positioning of the company.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new customers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and foster long-term partnerships.
- Negotiations & Contracts: Lead contract negotiations with prospective clients and ensure all terms meet company objectives and profitability targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify market gaps and opportunities for growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as production, engineering, and finance to ensure the successful execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
- Proposal Development: Liaise with estimators in the preparation of tenders, and bids ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company capabilities.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Track and report on sales activities, market trends, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Develop sales forecasts and pipeline reports to ensure alignment with company goals.
About You;
- Electrical Engineering related qualifications would be highly desirable
- A minimum of 3 years of business development experience in a related industry (electrical, civil, constriction, M&E etc.)
- Proven track record of successfully driving sales, securing new business, and increasing market share in a competitive environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Happy to travel within the UK (London) when required.
