This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer with a passion for research and development to play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge solutions for next-generation, high-tech applications.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will be involved in the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to prototype testing, validation, and manufacturing, while contributing to pioneering technologies.
The Job you will do: Responsible for the generation of bespoke solutions to customers requirements, potentially with the benefits of CFD analysis.
Managing individual projects allocated.
This will involve creating engineering designs using 3D modelling and 2D drawings.
Raising PO Requests for materials, equipment and the subsequent responsibility for the prototype build and test Development of test plans and lab-based practical completion of prototype tests Development of test rig 3D CAD designs, construction and commissioning of the test equipment To liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering to ensure best practices are followed in the development of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
To work with and support the Sales Department function To work with due regard to Health and Safety requirements.
To ensure that 5S housekeeping targets are achieved in areas of control.
About you: A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering is desirable but not essential.
Suitable industrial experience in line with the role would equally be considered.
Up to 3 to 4 years of engineering experience in a design, development and manufacturing environment.
An inquisitive mind with a passion for research and development Familiar with the use of CAD to generate 3D models and 2D drawings.
