The job youll do

  • Work safely, following site rules and health and safety legislation.
  • Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and minimise production downtime.
  • Diagnose faults, maintain and repair plant and equipment.
  • Estimate job completion times and understand the impact of delays.
  • Report breakdown causes and equipment faults.
  • Ensure high-quality work adhering to standards.
  • Assist in developing PPM schedules and moving/installing equipment.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Shift Manager/Engineering Manager.
  • Understand engineering and technical information.

About you

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Maintenance or similar (HNC is desirable)
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical information.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
