MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client in their 2026 recruitment initiative with the recruitment of a permanent Electronics Technician to strengthen their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to expand their knowledge and skills within an industry leading employer, with a defined progression pathway towards management. The Job You’ll Do:

  • Cover production technical operations
  • Learn the technical aspects of the company’s products
  • Support customers via the technical phone line and site visits
  • Attend and report machine breakdowns and report any and all actions carried out, as well as any further actions required
  • Diagnosing and repairing PCBs down to component level

About You:

  • Qualified to ONC/HNC level or above in a relevant discipline (Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar)
  • Previous experience as a qualified technician, with a history of PPM and breakdown response on Electronic Manufacturing equipment
  • SMT and electronics manufacturing machine experience
  • You must have the ability to diagnose and repair PCBs down to component level using a schematic drawing and must be able to use diagnostic equipment
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Have the ability to work within a team environment or individually
  • A focus on continuous improvement and LEAN activities
