The Company
Our client is a market leader in the Electronic Manufacturing sector. A sustained period for growth is the reason they are looking to recruit an Electronic Test Engineer.
The Role
- Test interface to customer both internal and external within the company.
- Provide the technical interface between the customer and manufacturing for test related matters.
- Maintain in circuit test, flying probe in circuit test and functional test fixtures and programs.
- Liaise with involved individuals to define, develop and improve test solutions coordinating the purchase of external test solutions when appropriate.
- Support the Quality in test improvement solutions for continual improvement activities to help achieve the business KPIs.
- Ability to analyse technical problems and complete detailed reports.
- Support the calibration scheme, ensuring test fixtures are calibrated on time maintaining the asset system records and audit compliance requirements.
- Lead new product introduction test activities.
- Support Electronic Technicians (kit acquisition, circuit diagrams, test coverage, etc.).
- Assist in the early identification of potential situations that may give rise to early product failure or deviation from standard parameters.
- Investigate production test issues, determine root cause and implement preventative actions.
- Support all production test issues providing support and training for in circuit test and functional test.
- Writing and control of test instructions controlled through document control.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with quality, health and safety and environmental requirements.

- HND Electronics qualification.
- Strong interpersonal skills, personable, team player, focused.
- Application of quality system ISO 9001.
- Worked within a volume electronics manufacturing environment.
- Fault-finding experience.
- Highly developed communication skills at all levels.
- You must have previous working knowledge of electronics sector.
- Able to fault find down to component level.
- Experience with electronic Test equipment.
- Happy to work a day shift.
