MTrecs prestigious engineering client is looking to recruit a new Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their growing organisation. The successful candidate should be experienced, self-motivated, and will be responsible for assisting the companys clients with design projects. The projects generally have one to two months durations and are varied in nature, giving the appointed engineer an ever-changing and interesting range of design duties. With a clear-cut progression pathway to Principal Engineer and beyond, this is a fantastic opportunity to take that next step in your career.
The Job Youll Do:
- Provide experience and assistance for the companys design projects.
- Establish working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the companys clients.
- Contribute to meetings with clients, the project team, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for Mechanical building services, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other related documents.
- Projects include: Heating Systems, Domestic Hot and Cold-Water Systems, Natural Gas Systems, Ventilation Systems, Comfort Cooling and Air Conditioning System, Fire Suppression and Sprinkler Systems, Plant Room Design.
- Act as a mentor and lead less experienced colleagues.
About you:
- Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering subject, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5-years relevant experience as a minimum.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guides, and all-round good practice.
- Extensive knowledge of the Building Services industry.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Availability and willingness to travel if and when required.
