MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Killingworth, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a Panel Wirer to join their team. You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic company, with an excellent team-based culture and huge opportunities to progress your career. Our client is a well-established player in their specialist sector in the North East and supplies its quality products and services nationally. The Job You’ll Do:

  • Fit electrical components and electrical wiring
  • Working from schematics and drawings
  • Fit, wire, build and assemble power distribution units
  • Assembly, build and wiring of switchboards, distribution boards & PLC based control systems
  • Installation of switchgear, power distribution, control systems, variable speed drives and hydraulic power units
  • Using hand tools and power tools
  • Panel testing and inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing industry standards
  • Working closely with the production teams
  • Adhere to risk assessments, method statements, and company safety procedures
  • Dealing with high and low volume wiring assemblies
  • Fault finding, testing and repair

About You:

  • Experience working with Single & Three Phase systems
  • Previous panel wiring/electrical fitting or testing experience
  • Hold an 18th Edition certification
  • Hold a recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, C&G 2391, HNC etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Previous use and experience with hand & power tools
  • Able to understand electrical drawings
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and an understanding of verbal and written English
  • Excellent attendance levels and attitude
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
