The Job You’ll Do:
- Oversee a range of engineering activities including fault diagnostics, breakdown cover, equipment installation and general maintenance of all plant and equipment to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Attend planning meetings to submit PPM schedules.
- Liaise with operations for start-up requirements and ensure that PPM takes place as planned and agreed.
- Participate in necessary on-site audit processes.
- Compliance to company policies, standard operating procedures and legal regulations.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all necessary engineering records and reporting is maintained.
- Champion Health & Safety on-site ensuring a safe working environment.
- Participate in the H&S meetings and support in leading Safety across the site.
- Reporting of hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses, ensuring that all related actions are implemented across site in a timely manner.
- Management and control of contractors for all on-site activity.
- Ensure following a fair non-bias tender process when reviewing contractors to assign 3rd party tasks.
- To build a united team with first-class team capability.
About You:
- Proven experience as an Engineering/Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Experience developing and implementing safety rules or operational policies.
- Professional interest, and enthusiasm for policy implementation and change management.
- Experience managing direct reports, and subcontracted resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written skills.
- Financial management skills and commercial awareness.
- Strong technical knowledge and an aptitude for both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
