Working Hours:
6-week cycle: 1 week working at the Scotland Plant (on call), 1 week working at the Gateshead Plant (on call), 4 weeks working at Gateshead Plant (standard).
The Job You’ll Do:
- Attend and rectify electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across plant equipment.
- Fault find and repair electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Service and maintain machinery including conveyors, motors and gearboxes.
- Change bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts and associated components.
- Calibrate, inspect and test plant equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Carry out fault finding on three-phase electrical systems.
- Keep management and operational teams updated on maintenance progress.
- Participate in the on-call rota and Scottish site rotation.
About You:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' engineering maintenance experience.
- Electrical bias or strong multi-skilled background.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment.
- Strong fault-finding skills on electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
