The job you'll do:

  • Producing schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangements, cable block diagrams, cable schedules etc.
  • Attend customer reviews to satisfy customer requirements for design
  • Prepare Bill of Materials, Design Intent Document, cable sizing calculations
  • Provide Technical support for site
  • Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications and Design Intent Documents
  • Compliance with the department processes and procedures
  • Abide by all Business Compliance requirements in line with Company policies
  • Actively support the continuous improvement of Engineering systems and processes
  • Mentoring of Design Engineering staff
  • Assist with in-house training initiatives

About you:

  • HNC or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Be able to work to deadlines and as part of a team
  • Willing to travel to site throughout the UK
  • Willing to work to develop knowledge and understanding of other job functions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills at all levels
