New Opportunity: MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client in their 2026 recruitment initiative with the recruitment of a permanent QHSE Engineer (HSE Bias) to strengthen their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HSE career who wants ownership of a major improvement project and the chance to build long-term capability within a growing engineering business. The job you'll do:
- Lead the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and support day-to-day Health, Safety & Environmental activities
- Lead ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation through to certification
- Develop HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
- Carry out site inspections and support risk assessments, COSHH, and RAMS
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Assist with contractor HSE management and inductions
- Support environmental controls and improvement initiatives
- Deliver toolbox talks and HSE awareness
- Track KPIs and support audits and management reviews
About you:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
- HNC/HND/Degree in H&S, Environmental Management, Engineering, or similar
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (or willingness to obtain)
- Some experience in Quality would be advantageous
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Confident engaging with people at all levels
- Willing to take ownership and learn quickly
- Practical and improvement-focused
