MTrec Commercial are proudly representing our prestigious client on their search for an experienced Sales & Customer Representative to join their team on a full time basis to provide excellent customer service whilst actively supporting the growth of the business through proactive sales activity.

The role combines day-to-day customer order management with outbound business development, ensuring customers receive outstanding service whilst identifying opportunities to generate new business and increase sales.

The Role you will be doing;

  • Customer Service
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries received via the customer service email inbox.
  • Process customer sales orders accurately within Sage.
  • Issue order confirmations and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Add outstanding orders to the Production backorder
  • Proactively communicate changes to lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Expedite customer orders and liaise with Production, Purchasing and Warehouse departments to provide accurate updates.
  • Provide customers with Technical Data Sheets, Safety Data Sheets and other product information as required.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout the order fulfilment process.
  • Support the wider Customer Service team during periods of high workload.
  • Telesales
  • Make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to introduce products and services.
  • Generate new sales opportunities through proactive prospecting.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular contact.
  • Manage the sampling approval process from initial enquiry through to commercial order.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow up opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Work towards agreed sales activity and revenue targets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing customer accounts.
  • Record customer interactions and sales activity accurately within company systems.
  • Support sales campaigns, promotions and new product launches.
  • System Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System.
  • Promote compliance with ISO 9001, company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Support achievement of departmental KPIs and business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of quality, customer focus and continual improvement.
  • Process customer orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding order status and lead times.
  • Escalate customer concerns, complaints or commercial issues where appropriate.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure customer expectations and business targets are achieved.
