This specialist role will play a critical part in the ongoing success of the organisation and is a fantastic opportunity to work within a close-knit team of professionals. The Job you will do:

  • Prioritise workloads in line with print production schedules and issue inks to presses with the required documentation and colour standards.
  • Reuse and manage press-returned inks wherever possible, including bulk mixing for large production runs.
  • Support press operators with colour matching, toner preparation, and on-press adjustments during set-ups and production.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records, including ink issue sheets, adjustment logs, retained samples, and stock information.
  • Inspect and label returned inks correctly before returning them to stock.
  • Maintain ink storage areas in a safe, clean, and organised condition.
  • Monitor and replenish consumables such as wipes, solvents, barrels, and bulk tanks as required.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries, stock rotation, and checking deliveries against documentation.
  • Handle hazardous waste safely, ensuring all containers and paperwork are completed correctly.
  • Report engineering or equipment issues through the appropriate maintenance systems.
  • Communicate effectively during shift handovers and support other areas of the print department when required.

About you:

  • Previous experience working as an Ink Technician is essential.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and colour matching techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and maintain stock records.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hazardous material handling procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible approach to supporting production requirements across the department.
