Do: Interpret client specifications, technical documents, and project requirements to develop robust design solutions.

Create and develop 3D models and 2D detailed manufacturing drawings using Solid Works CAD software.

Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Apply principles of mechanical engineering to perform necessary calculations, such as stress analysis, material selection, and tolerance stack-ups.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations.

Liaise closely with the sales team to provide technical support during the tendering process.

Collaborate with the workshop and production teams to ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability and assembly.

Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including operating and maintenance manuals.

Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and processes.

About

You: HNC, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in a mechanical design role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Experience in 3D CAD software (Solid Works is highly preferred) and 2D CAD (Auto CAD).

Experience creating detailed engineering drawings to recognised standards Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
