Our client are specialists in their market sector. They have a permanent opportunity for a Warehouse Operator/ FLT Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.
It is essential candidates hold a Counterbalance license and a Reach license too.
The Job you’ll do
- The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse.
- This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
- The Material Handler will also be responsible for operating material handling equipment and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
- The controlling of the various machine scrap is also a critical part of the job.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and locate in the designated locations within production.
- Weighing & emptying of production scrap bins is an essential part of the position.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Conducting daily checks on MHE to ensure no defects, report any issues to the Team Leader.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Communicate effectively to the warehouse Management informing them of any relevant issues that will affect performances within the warehouse.
- Ensuring all company health and safety procedures are carried out and any near misses and accidents are reported in conjunction with the warehouse H&S representative.
About You
- Previous experience in a warehouse/production operation.
- Counterbalance licence and a Reach Truck essential.
- Computer experience –Excel, Sage or other stock control software.
- Ensure a good housekeeping standard is maintained.
- Good organisational skills.
