The job you'll do:
- Produce, format, and maintain high-quality engineering documentation using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Control, distribute, track, and archive project documentation, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely circulation
- Coordinate document workflows with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, QA procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain document registers, numbering systems, and labelling conventions for clear identification and traceability
- Scan, copy, file, and distribute documents to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation and submission of reports, schedules, and project close-out documentation
- Follow engineers' instructions to create, update, and revise drawings using AutoCAD
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Attend site as required for scanning, filing, and document control activities (may include occasional overnight stays)
About you:
- Must be IT literate and proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Willingness to travel (quarterly) and stay overnight if needed
- Proven experience in a similar role (Document Controller/Administration/Technical Support)
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar to update engineering drawings (desirable)
- Experience using document management systems such as Meridian and/or Aconex or similar (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to document control
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to liaise across teams
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence required
