Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Elec) in Cramlington, North East

MTrecs new career opportunity Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multi skilled Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis, working day shift. MTrecs new career opportunity Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times. Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures. Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems. Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment. Liaise with production, engineering, and external contractors to resolve issues quickly. Identify and order spare parts, ensuring stock is maintained at required levels. Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports. Work as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required. Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers. Use of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports. Assisting with the training and mentoring of apprentices. About You We are looking for someone who has strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment, is competent in safe systems of work (LOTO, permits, isolation procedures) and has the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals. You should also be computer literate and ideally have experience at using CMMs. If you have good organisational skills, are self-motivated and have a hands-on approach to problem solving with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team we would love to hear from you!
