MTrec Technical are proudly partnering with a prestigious engineering client with their plans for growth and expansion by recruiting a permanent Service Engineer to cover the Norwich/Ipswich areas. Our client has undergone significant growth over the past few years as it expands its product offering and customer portfolio. You will be joining a very secure business, with fantastic opportunities to develop your skills alongside experienced industry professionals. The Job You’ll Do:

  • The role involves regular travel around the Norwich/Ipswich areas of the UK, occasionally involving overnight stays away from home
  • Preparation for annual insurance surveys and NDT, commissioning and 24 hr breakdown cover
  • Carry out routine and planned preventative maintenance across heavy industrial boiler plant equipment to ensure site operations
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical faults on steam systems, pumps, and valves
  • Prepare industrial boiler machinery and plant rooms for mandatory annual insurance inspections and turnarounds
  • Respond to critical system breakdowns as part of a 24/7 emergency on-call rota
  • Update maintenance logs, compliance records, and shift handovers using computerised maintenance management systems

About You:

  • Good knowledge of industrial boiler house equipment and combustion systems
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Experience within the Boiler or Combustion Industry
  • Educated to at least NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Gas Safe Registered Commercial (desirable)
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification or similar (desirable)
  • Work at height and in confined spaces
  • Reasonable level of physical fitness
  • Computer literate
  • Full UK Driving licence
