The Company: Our client is a market leading manufacturing company due to a sustained period of growth.
The Role: To ensure accurate processing of financial transactions to aid in the production of timely and accurate management accounts to assist senior management in making decisions that will benefit the company and its employees. Responsibilities include:
- Execution and maintenance of accurate transactional processing across all areas of finance.
- Exploring ways to maximise the utilisation of the current ERP system and emerging technologies to automate day-to-day processes.
- AR Invoicing and Credit Control Management.
- Liaising with purchasing and sales to ensure effective customer & supplier maintenance, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet information for review.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns for review and submission.
- Recording supplier invoices for payment, logging invoice queries and following up to resolution, exploring automation opportunities.
- Creating Supplier payment runs for approval, exploring automation opportunities.
- Providing ad hoc support to the finance team on other General Ledger items.
- Supporting data gathering for internal and external audits.
The Person: Will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing. Previous Finance Accounts experience is essential. Candidates should possess:
- Professional communication abilities, both written and spoken.
- AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
