The successful candidate will travel to clients in the Glasgow area and be responsible for the service, repair, and calibration of production, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This role provides a combination of both maintenance and engineering practices to help kickstart your transition from the Armed Forces into industry. If you are an Engineer or Technician or you may have been a mechanical fitter, technician, or a mechanic previously or you may have a genuine interest and passion in car repair and restoration, then this is the ideal background for the position.
The Job You’ll Do.
- Travel throughout your territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and perform, repair and calibration needs. Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business.
- Combining technical experience with company training, address customer needs and issues including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment.
- Adhere to company processes, procedures, safety standards and schedules with respect to daily activities including scheduled repairs and calibrations and calling to prospective customers
About You.
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications are an advantage, such as NVQ Level 2 and 3.
- A background, in a technical/engineering role within the armed forces.
- You may have been a mechanical fitter, technician, or a mechanic previously or you may have a genuine interest and passion in car repair and restoration, then this is the ideal background for the position.
- Ability to use Microsoft office.
