The Job you will do
- Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure finished goods are prepared in line with loading schedules.
- Raise purchase and sales orders using internal systems and business software.
- Coordinate shipping and haulage arrangements with freight forwarding partners.
- Prepare and complete transport and shipping documentation accurately and within required timescales.
- Oversee the loading and dispatch of customer orders.
- Resolve operational issues promptly while delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain high standards of service by following company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Contribute positively to the wider logistics team and support business objectives as required.
- Ensure the highest standards of customer and supplier care are consistently achieved.
About you
- At least 3 years' experience in a Transport Planner or similar logistics role.
- Good knowledge of HGV transport regulations and compliance.
- Experience with transport management systems is essential
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise workload and work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Reliable, dependable and a collaborative team player.
