Quality Inspector

The Client

Our client is at the fore front of the subcontract precision engineering sector. Due to growth, they now require a Quality Inspector.

The Role:

• Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes.
• Inspection of goods in, goods out, subcontract work and all purchased parts.
• In process and finished goods inspection.
• Process auditing.
• Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, maintenance and control of quality-related documentation and records throughout the business.
• The role combines system inspection and verification activities with broader responsibilities for document control, records management, quality administration and process compliance.
• Calibration of measuring equipment.
• Signing first and last inspection reports.
• Reporting of non-conforming parts.
• Working 4-day week, 37 hours Monday-Thursday.
• Will include nights one in 4 weeks £22.68 per hour for this.

The Person:

• Previous inspection experience essential.
• Use of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, thickness and echo meters.
• Proven ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated.
• Good communication skills.
• Good housekeeping.
