The Company
Our client is a market leading company due to a sustained period of growth they are now looking to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Engineer.
The Role
This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, keeping everything safe, reliable, compliant and operational.
Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and building-services systems.
Maintaining site infrastructure including power, lighting, HVAC, water and drainage.
Supporting critical site services and responding to breakdowns.
Working with contractors and specialist service providers.
Supporting statutory inspections, compliance and permit-to-work activities.
Assisting with new installations, modifications and commissioning.
Will work Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm.
The Person
You will ideally be time served.
Previous experience in facilities, industrial, manufacturing or engineering maintenance.
Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
The ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
A strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment.
A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
Experience with HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, compressed air, pumps, fire systems, generators/UPS, CMMS or contractor management would be advantageous.
IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications would also be beneficial.
