MTrec’s new career opportunity. Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multiskilled CNC Miller on a permanent basis. Please note this position will be working a permanent backshift, the hours of work are 14:30-00:30 Monday to Thursday.
The Job you’ll do:
- CNC Miller – Setter/Operator, with 3, 4 & 5 axis experience to set and operate CNC Machines with Heidenhain and Fanuc control systems.
- Setting, and operate 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC mills.
- Hand Deburr and fettle detailed components.
- Quality checking own work.
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to offset coordinates.
- Read and understand technical engineering drawings.
- Be able to read understand CNC programmes, using machine interface.
- Using our manufacturing system to be able to check material availability, part requirements, part routings and issue.
- Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment.
About You:
- Engineering apprenticeship/City and guilds / NVQ's / National tech certificate engineering.
- Thorough experience in multi axis CNC machine tools milling.
- Must be a proactive team player, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Must be able to setup and operate CNC mill machines.
- Knowledge of Heidenhain & Fanuc controls.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
