- The Job You’ll Do;
- Leading and supervising skilled and semi-skilled machine operators to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality performance.
- Monitoring daily team performance to ensure work is completed efficiently and meets customer requirements.
- Ensuring operators adhere to production schedules while tracking progress and addressing any delays.
- Planning and allocating resources effectively to meet production demand and customer delivery deadlines.
- Monitoring jobs throughout the production process, adjusting schedules as required to achieve customer SLAs and delivery targets.
- Maintaining regular communication and collaboration with cross-functional departments.
- Attending and actively contributing to production planning and customer project meetings.
- Developing, delivering, and maintaining operator training programmes, while onboarding and integrating new employees into the business.
- Coordinating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules to maximise equipment reliability.
- Identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
About you;
- Experience working in a supervisory/managerial role within engineering/manufacturing
- Must be highly organised, structured, and flexible.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst keeping a calm, level-headed approach.
- Ability to think on their feet, changing production priorities at a moment’s notice.
- Ability to manage individuals on a one-to-one basis as well as team projects.
- Leadership, motivational and conflict management skills.
- Good decision-making skills, ability to delegate and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience working with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S or Kaizen.
