The Job you will be doing
A Production Operator is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, or testing electronic components and subassemblies in a cell according to company standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic parts, wiring, or subassemblies following diagrams or work instructions.
- Operate small tools, soldering irons, or testing equipment safely and accurately.
- Inspect components for defects or deviations from specifications.
- Perform rework or touch-up soldering when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Record production data, such as quantities, defects, and time taken.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, according to the Health and Safety Executive.
You will be working 2 shift patterns alternate weeks at 6:00 am - 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 12:00 am.
About you
- Technical training or prior experience in electronics assembly is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings or assembly instructions.
- Experience in soldering (preferred but not always required).
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Basic computer or documentation skills.
- Hand soldering of conventional components to IPC standards.
