MTrec’s new career opportunity. Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Production Lead Engineer on a permanent basis.

The Job You’ll do:

  • Meet timing and cost targets for all New Product Launches (NPL).
  • Monitor, report and ensure all costs are within budget.
  • Liaise with both customer and suppliers on cost and technical items.
  • Support all project estimates and planning.
  • Ensure all processes meet capability targets and client scrap levels as defined by the project charter.
  • Ensure technical reports are produced for all pre-production builds as defined by the Product Lead Engineer.
  • Provide relevant training to all manufacturing personnel in line with new projects implemented.
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out for all equipment.
  • Coordinate parts supply and builds (internal / customer) and produce build reports.
  • Coordinate equipment / tooling delivery.
  • Formulate build plans and update bi-weekly.
  • Plan and organize internal meetings.
  • Design and implementation of capable manufacturing processes, following production system principles considering factors such as ergonomics, operator safety and material flow.
  • Lead or perform tasks to ensure the NPL milestone requirements.
  • Deliver appropriate manufacturing processes to manufacturing and transfer knowledge to the manufacturing team.
  • Contribute towards optimizations of product design to ensure “Design for Manufacturing and Assembly” (DFMA).
  • Identify and resolve together with manufacturing, production and quality problems.
  • Ensure customer compliance through achievement of relevant qualification.
