Our client is a specialist engineering company due to growth they need a Parts Sales Advisor with plant, engineering or automotive equipment experience.

Job Role

As a Parts Sales Advisor, you will play a crucial role in advising and assisting customers with their parts needs, ranging from spares to accessories. You will ensure the smooth operation of the parts department by providing excellent customer service, accurate parts identification and efficient stock management.

  • Customer Service: Advise customers on required vehicle parts via telephone, email and face-to-face.
  • Parts Identification: Accurately identify parts using Electronic Parts Catalogues and Dealer Management Systems.
  • Stock Management: Check stock availability, pick parts from the warehouse and manage stock levels.
  • Sales Maximisation: Drive sales of products and accessories and upsell where possible to achieve targets.
  • Internal Support: Efficiently distribute parts to service department technicians.

The Person

You will ideally have experience in a similar role. Previous engineering/plant environment experience. Previous parts look-up experience is preferred (e.g. in a dealership or motor factor environment). Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude and a focus on delivering a high level of customer service. Enthusiastic, team-focused and willing to learn. Analytical approach to problem solving. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Good IT skills.
