MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis. Shift Pattern: Continental shifts 12x hour shifts (Days/Nights)
The Job You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, specifically Siemens platforms.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (PPM).
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
- Identify, overhaul, and repair faults within mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
About You:
- Minimum of a time served apprenticeship in maintenance engineering to NVQ Level 3 (Electrical bias preferable)
- PLC fault finding experience (desirable)
- A HNC or above in a relevant discipline (desirable)
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
- Possession of an IPAF licence, MEWP (desirable)
- FLT licence (desirable)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
