Our client are specialists in their industry sector; they are looking to recruit a Multi skilled Maintenance Electrician on a permanent basis.
- The job you’ll do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on a range of extrusion, automation, plant and facilities equipment.
- Diagnose and fault-find on electrical systems, including PLCs, control panels, drives, and motors
- Mechanical maintenance tasks including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Minimise downtime and ensure plant efficiency.
- Assist in continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Installation and commissioning of new capital equipment on-site.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company H&S procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records via MMS.
About You
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (essential).
- Electrically biased with strong fault-finding skills.
- Extensive experience within a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding (Siemens desirable).
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Flexible approach to shift work (12-hour shifts including nights).
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
