MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Blyth with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a Manual Machinist to join their team. Our client is well established within their sector and are currently experiencing strong growth fuelled by high demand for their products. You will be joining a very secure business, with fantastic opportunities to develop your skills alongside experienced industry professionals.
The Job you’ll do:
- Producing high precision work.
- Carry out repairs and improvements to tooling.
- Reading engineering drawings.
- Experience in manual Machining (Turning, Milling, Drilling) ideally from a tool making background.
- Experience using Vertical Borers would be advantageous.
- Ensure that you comply with the requirements of the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
- Promote a safe working environment by directly challenging or reporting unsafe or environmentally damaging practices and hazardous working.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives within the company such as segregating waste and switching off electrical equipment where appropriate and not in use.
About You:
- Experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment
- Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in toolmaking/machining (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Good work ethic.
- Team player.
- Attention to detail with a conscientious approach.
- Professional and friendly demeanour.
