Overview
Our client are market leaders in their industry sector. They are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.
- The Job you’ll do
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities across all plant machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer specifications and operational demands.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, repairs, or installations, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Oversee the utilisation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems optimisation.
- Analyse equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising maintenance teams within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.

- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, schematics, and automation controls including PLCs.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills to oversee maintenance programmes effectively.
- Previous experience in managing maintenance operations with a focus on reliability-centred practices.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is essential for diagnosing and resolving diverse technical issues.
- Fluency in English is required for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
