MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in the Gillingham area with their plans for growth and internal expansion. We are supporting their recruitment by recruiting a permanent technician to join their team.
A successful candidate will be responsible for performing essential works on production machinery to ensure the smooth running of the site day to day. The role will be working a permanent day shift, 06:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to cover late shifts on occasion as cover, from 12:00-20:00 Monday to Friday.
The Job You’ll Do:
- Working to agreed planned maintenance schedules to perform essential work on the production machinery.
- Condition monitoring and control of fluids and plant equipment, and reporting using our company in-house system.
- Manage waste streams to safe disposal off-site.
- Customer liaison and assisting in meetings.
- Follow strictly practices and procedures laid down including 5s and Health & Safety.
About You:
- Experienced of working in a mechanical, chemical or production environment.
- Possesses a willingness to be adaptable and flexible.
- The ability to self-motivate and work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience within a similar position.
- This is a ‘hands on’ position and demands a willingness to be adaptable and flexible with the ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be PC literate.
- Have excellent communication skills.
