MTrec Technical are proudly representing our nationally recognised manufacturing client, based in County Durham, by recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer who will directly report to the Technical Manager. The role will work closely with the technical team and the Manufacturing team to support the delivery of new and existing products. If you are an individual with an Electrical Qualification, in addition to 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or don’t have a qualification and possess a minimum of 4 years’ experience then please apply now.
The Job You’ll Do;

Support the business with new product development and introduction:

Help improve the initial product design proposed by the technical team

Assess the manufacturability of the product by carrying out, if required, PFMEA’s

Create Work instructions for both manufacturing and testing/inspection for product introduction

Lead First offs process and assess feedback of the Manufacturing team

Amend BOMs and drawings following first offs

Assess the need for new tooling/jigs
-
Assist Manufacturing with product launch

Keep the new product design log updated

Support the Technical team with:

Creating BOMs
-
Amendment of existing BOMs
-
Creation/Amendment of wiring drawings
-
Creation of Technical submittal
-
Creation of Schematics
-
Support with continuous improvement activities within the Technical and Production Department (for instance, help with the creation of drawing registers, help improving test jigs, etc..)

Have an Electrical qualification, in addition to 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering (alternatively if you don’t have a qualification, then someone with a minimum of 4 years’ experience will be considered).

Beneficial if you have used ERP systems (SAP) or equivalent ERP systems such as Pegasus Operations, Epicor, or Navigator.

Beneficial to have used either CorelDraw 2D, Inventor, SolidWorks, or CAD)
