We are recruiting for a reliable and motivated warehouse/FLT Operative to join a well-established and forward-thinking operation. This role is key in helping the department meet productivity targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate will assist in packing finished products, managing stock accurately, and supporting the smooth operation of the dispatch process.
Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: 2:00 pm β 10:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 12:30 pm β 5:30 pm (Friday)
- Week 2: 6:00 am β 2:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6:00 am β 12:30 pm (Friday)
- Week 3: 10:00 pm β 6:00 am (Sunday night to Friday morning)
Job Youβll Do:
- Achieve set productivity and performance targets.
- Pack finished products efficiently and accurately.
- Enter stock details into computer systems for all packed goods.
- Palletise stock and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Pick goods according to sales orders.
- Ensure pallets are securely wrapped and meet dispatch standards.
- Load goods onto collection vehicles and verify delivery manifests against dispatched items.
- Safely operate forklift trucks, conducting daily safety checks and completing required documentation.
- Perform regular inventory checks to support stock accuracy.
- Actively contribute to continual improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, waste reduction, and cost efficiency.
About You:
- You do not need a valid forklift license; however, it is essential you have at least 1 year of recent experience operating counterbalance trucks.
- Experience using computer software for stock entry and inventory management.
- Confident in checking delivery manifests and ensuring accuracy of dispatched goods.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of personal conduct.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A team player who can also work independently using their own initiative.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Good safety awareness and commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
