The Company

Our client are specialists in their market sector; they are now looking to recruit a Document Controller.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for coordinating, packaging and issuing client submittals for engineering projects.
  • Project Documentation, coordinate and compile project documentation from internal and external stakeholders into structured, submittal-compliant packages in line with contractual and specification requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and third parties to obtain required technical documentation, ensuring completeness, compliance and alignment with project deliverables.
  • Document Submission, issue and manage project documentation within the Client Document Management System ensuring accurate metadata, traceability and adherence to agreed document control procedures.
  • Administer document workflows within CDMS, including submission, revision control, review cycles, and approval tracking, ensuring timely progression through all stages.
  • Provide support to document control activities, including the preparation and issuance of manufacturing and construction documentation packages where required.
  • Quality Control and Efficiency, identify and escalated gaps, inconsistencies, or non-compliances within submittal packages to relevant stakeholders, driving resolution to maintain project schedule and quality standard.
  • Being open to tasks that require additional training and actively working on broadening your knowledge.
  • Responsible for collecting, monitoring, processing, and analysing data.
  • Reporting the data and making recommendations where necessary
  • Providing timely and accurate information.

The Person

  • Excellent computer skills, i.e., SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using document management systems/portals.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate engineering drawings.
  • Ability to create document submittal packages.
  • Good understanding of project execution processes.
  • Has strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to work.
  • Highly organised and has a high level of accuracy.
