The Company
Our client is a specialist manufacturer. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Production Manager.
The Role
- You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production process ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on time and within budget.
- Duties to include planning production schedules, managing resources (personnel, materials, equipment) and maintaining quality standards.
- You will also work to improve processes, reduce costs and ensure safety.
- Is day shift managing a team of 45.
- You will lead your team and area to successfully deliver your KPI's and drive business performance.
- Coach, develop and lead staff and establish a continuous improvement culture.
- Take full responsibility for the day to day running of a department on shift, ensuring the Health and Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas.
- Monitor and communicate the site plan, performance KPI's and targets ensuring that all colleagues are striving to achieve the same goal.
The Person
- Will ideally be degree qualified in a related field.
- Previous engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.
- You will have good leadership/team management experience.
- Will have good planning skills.
- You will be IT literate with good analytical skills.
- Will have the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
