Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multiskilled CNC Turner on a permanent basis.
Please note this position will be working a permanent backshift, the hours of work are 14:30-00:30 Monday to Thursday.
- The Job you’ll do
- CNC Turner – Setter/Operator, to set and operate Victor CNC Machines with Fanuc control systems.
- The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set encompassing CNC machining, mechanical knowledge, and hands on experience with various tools and processes.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in production.
- Set up and operate Victor CNC lathes.
- Hand Deburr and fettle detailed components.
- Quality checking own work.
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to offset coordinates.
- Read and understand technical engineering drawings.
- Be able to read understand CNC programmes, using machine interface
- Using our manufacturing system to be able to check material availability, part requirements, part routings and issue.
- Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment CNC turning machines with precision, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain machine calibration and perform basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations.
About You
- Engineering apprenticeship/City and guilds / NVQ's / National tech certificate engineering.
- Proven thorough experience in CNC machine tools turning.
- Must be able to setup and operate CNC Turning and mill machines.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
