The Job you will do

  • Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure finished goods are prepared in line with loading schedules.
  • Raise purchase and sales orders using internal systems and business software.
  • Coordinate shipping and haulage arrangements with freight forwarding partners.
  • Prepare and complete transport and shipping documentation accurately and within required timescales.
  • Oversee the loading and dispatch of customer orders.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of service by following company procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Contribute positively to the wider logistics team and support business objectives as required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer and supplier care are consistently achieved.

About you

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Transport Planner or similar logistics role.
  • Good knowledge of HGV transport regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with transport management systems is essential
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritise workload and work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Reliable, dependable and a collaborative team player
