The job you’ll do
- Safety & Improvements: Support safety checks and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintenance: Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to documented guidelines.
- Repairs: Fix equipment with a focus on long-term reliability and stopping repeat issues.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all toolroom activities.
- 5S Standards: Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Problem Solving: Use root cause analysis to make sure repairs last.
- Key Skills: Bring hands-on experience with mould tools and traditional bench-fitting.
- Specialized Work: Handle the maintenance and repair of hot runner systems.
- Flexibility: Be ready and willing to work a scheduled shift system.
- General Support: Take on other tasks as requested by the team.
About you
- Must be a time-served Toolmaker.
- City & Guilds Toolmaker and/or ONC Mechanical Engineering.
- Capability to work under own supervision.
- Strong background in tool manufacture & maintenance.
- Cross-functional department working.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Well organised and self-motivated
- Able to work well both independently and within a team
