Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant initially on a temporary basis, this could however lead to a permanent position for the right person. This is an ideal role for somebody part or fully qualified who is at the start of their career.
The Job you’ll do:
- Support the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical and electrical equipment within our food production facility.
- This individual will be responsible for supporting the execution of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs, performing reactive maintenance as needed, diagnosing faults, and ensuring parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Help to develop, schedule, and execute regular planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks across all production equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and servicing for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform fault-finding activities to diagnose and resolve issues with minimal impact on production.
- Undertake both mechanical and electrical repairs independently to restore equipment to operational condition.

- Mechanical Bias: Strong mechanical engineering background with extensive experience.
