This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to apply their knowledge and skills within an industry leading employer. The Job You’ll Do:
- Responsible for managing a team of between 2 - 5 stores staff
- Implement overall organisation and structure to the stores department, ensuring the smooth flow of materials in and out of the business
- Controlling and allocating parts numbers
- Increase stock accuracy
- Assisting the dispatch team when needed
- Liaising with production and engineering teams to understand their needs and help the company operate more efficiently
- Identify areas for improvement or cost saving
About You:
- Experience working as a Senior Operator or preferably a management position within a stores department
- A background within engineering/manufacturing
- A good level of PC/IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Experience using ERP systems (Navision is highly desirable)
- Well organised, methodical and a logical thinker
- Able to manage a small team effectively without constant support
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
