Our client are specialists in their industry sector. They are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer on a permanent basis.
The Job you’ll do:
- To carry out planned services and maintenance of company equipment.
- To accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Identify required specialist equipment and connectors.
- Utilisation of the proper testing equipment for effective repair and maintenance.
- Ensure all equipment is set up as required by Contract Customer's Specifications.
- Modify generator fleet where required following instruction from the Technical Manager.
- Repair and maintain machinery as per company and manufacturer requirements.
- Attend equipment breakdowns as necessary to support the delivery of excellence customer service levels. This may require the post holder to work overtime, sometimes with short notice.
- Any other technical-related service as required by the business.
- Be part of the on-call Rota system.
- Support the development of high-performance teams by attending planned training, positively engaging with the training provider.
- Adherence to the Integrated Management Systems including Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality and all associated policies, standards, procedures and records.
- Ad hoc duties as the job requires.
About You:
- Well organised and able to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously and within strict deadlines to high standards with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident self-starter.
- Experience with mechanical/electrical engineering or diesel fitting.
- Familiar with electronic systems and mechanical components (including engines and alternators).
- Deep Sea knowledge and or synchronising experience.
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, confident, friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to prioritise on a daily basis a variety of tasks as and when they arise and deal with them with full confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
- Strong customer focus.
- Experience of working in a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision.
