We are looking for a Facilities Electrician to join our client in Cramlington to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.
The Job you’ll do:
- Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
- Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures.
- Maintenance of Manufacturing facilities (including PAT Testing, Testing and Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems, Fire Alarm Testing, CCTV Systems, Network Cabling and Small Fixed Wiring Installation Projects and Repairs).
- Installation and/or modification of manufacturing equipment as required.
- Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports.
- Work as part of a manufacturing and facilities maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.
- Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of apprentices.
About You:
To apply, we are looking for someone who has an electrical background, has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment with experience of both 3-phase and single-phase low voltage electrical distribution systems, installations & machines is also essential.
