The Company

Our client is a niche engineering company; due to growth they are looking to recruit an Engineering Store Person.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for managing and controlling the engineering stores.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels, materials and equipment so they are available when needed and coordinating the storage area.
  • Placing orders for materials and supplies, managing purchase orders and potentially identifying purchasing opportunities with suppliers.
  • Completing paperwork, managing inventory records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Developing and implementing efficient stock control systems and processes.
  • Conducting regular stock takes, managing stock reports and departmental KPIs.
  • Inspecting incoming deliveries to ensure they are not damaged.

The Person

  • Will ideally have experience in a similar role.
  • An engineering knowledge and an ability to read engineering drawings is preferred.
  • Must be happy to work day shift pattern.
  • Logical problem solver.
  • Previous engineering or manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Must have good IT and communication skills.
